Getting started
- Open @MakeItGIF_bot in Telegram and tap Start.
- Send a video, photo, or animation (up to 20 MB).
- Pick an output format — GIF, MP4, WebP, or Sticker — style it, and tap Convert.
- Want a visual editor? Open the Studio from the bot's menu button.

Troubleshooting
My file was rejected as too big
Inputs are capped at 20 MB. Trim the clip shorter in your gallery first, or send a lower-resolution export — the bot re-encodes anyway, so a smaller source rarely costs visible quality.
“Daily limit reached”
The free tier includes 5 conversions a day and resets daily. Check /status for your count, or /premium if you keep hitting the ceiling.
My conversion failed or nothing came back
Every output is validated before delivery — if the result would have been broken, the bot rejects it and tells you instead of sending a corrupt file. Try a different format (MP4 is the most forgiving), a shorter trim, or a lower quality preset. Still stuck? /support in the chat.
My sticker export keeps failing
Telegram's sticker rules are strict: ≤ 2.99 s, ≤ 256 KB, 512px WebM. Trim tighter and prefer simple motion — confetti-dense clips rarely fit the size budget.
The Studio says my upload session expired
Direct uploads in the Studio live for 10 minutes. If you stepped away, just upload again — sessions are deliberately short-lived because your media is deleted from the server right after they end.
I paid for premium and it isn't active
Send /paysupport in the chat — it's the dedicated flow for payment issues, and it reaches a human with your payment reference.
FAQ
Is MakeItGIF free?
Yes — 5 conversions a day, every day, with all four formats and the core editing tools. Premium adds overlays, background removal, high quality, and speed extremes, paid with Telegram Stars in the chat.
Where are my GIFs stored?
Delivered files live in your Telegram chat like any other message. The server keeps no copy — conversions are processed in temporary storage and deleted immediately after delivery. Details on the privacy page.
Does the desktop Library upload my files?
No. The Library is fully local — it indexes and searches on your PC and never sends your files anywhere. If you link it to the Studio with /link, it pushes only sanitized route names, schedule text, and run counts — never file paths or file contents.
How do I link the desktop app?
Send /link to the bot, then enter the one-time code in the desktop app under Settings → Link Telegram. The Studio's “Desktop routes” view then shows what the desktop last reported.
What does typing the bot's name in another chat do?
Inline mode: type @MakeItGIF_bot in any conversation and your recent conversions (up to twenty) appear, ready to send. It's a recents shelf — quick access, not a search of a permanent library.
Is there a browser extension?
Not yet — it's planned, and we say so plainly rather than faking an install button. The extension page is the source of truth.
